Phase One: Design Study & Preliminary Design Concept
Duffy Design Group consults with you to determine the scope of your project, any particular concepts you wish to achieve and any and all functional requirements for the areas to be designed. This analysis allows us to come up with a program for your needs, which we shall present to you for approval before proceeding. Utilizing this program, we’ll begin to work out the design concepts. We’ll prepare a visual presentation, in loose format, including floor plans, color schemes, sketches and preliminary selections.
Phase Two: Design Development
Based on your feedback of this presentation, we begin to modify and develop the concept. We shall prepare plans, elevations, color/finish/fabric/material formats and furniture selections in greater detail. We refine other sketches, drawing or materials to communicate specific design solutions. We shall also prepare budget estimates for the work to be done.
Phase Three: Final Design and Project Planning
Once you have approved our development of the design concept and we have determined an overall budget we will complete finalized plans, schedules, furniture, lighting, finish and fabric selections and all other specifications necessary to implement the project. Should working drawings be required for interior construction and/or millwork we will provide them as part of this phase. At this time, we will also submit more extensive budgets for your approval.
